Video Nation Today

Now in its second decade the home of Video Nation is within BBC England. The national Video Nation website showcases both archive and newly produced films from around the country on a range of thought provoking subjects.

We continue to work with many people across the UK through our network of local producers. To-date, Video Nation operates in 33 regional centres throughout England including Wales. As television and new media converge, Video Nation continues to experiment with new film forms and technologies such as iTV, HD and online social networking.

Video Nation continues to play an active part in television, completing a series of short films for the BBC Television programmes How to Have a Good Death, Restoration Village and No Home.

In November 2006 BBC Four broadcast the Video Nation No Home documentary - Moving On. Presented by Ray Gosling, Moving On examined how modern homelessness has changed over the past thirty years.

We're always looking for new Video Nation contributors. If you're interested in making a short film, then why not get in touch? You can find more details in our Take Part section.
