Questionable Questions | A Poem By Gray Crosbie
“So, what do you have… exactly?”
It’s normal to be curious about the things we haven’t experienced ourselves. Asking transgender people about their experiences can be a great way to learn more about what it means to be trans. However not all questions are appropriate to ask. The reality is transgender people are often faced with invasive questioning and the expectation to provide strangers with intimate details about their bodies and the choices they’ve made around their transition.
“Questionable Questions” is a spoken word poem exploring this aspect of life as a trans person.
