The Mexican weaver reimagining an ancient Zapotec art form
Returning home after years away, Mexican weaver Porfirio Gutierrez found that traditional craft methods were dying out. He decided to do something about it. Combining traditional natural dyes and craft techniques with contemporary designs, he creates extraordinary woven pieces which reflect both the ancient and the modern world.
