Festivals

As always, BBC Hereford & Worcester had a stage at the event - and this year we took over the entire Friday in one of the tents.
Instead of having acts scattered across the whole weekend, every act on the opening day were chosen by us.
Famous acts in our Music Map feature
In Session, live at Wychwood

One of Nicola's former groups, New Chapter, achieved number one in Andy O'Hare's top ten tunes of 2011.
All of our live studio and festival sessions since 2005
Interviews

The tunes were part of a public premiere at his Birthplace Museum on what would've been Herefordshire & Worcester's most famous son's 156th birthday!
'The Millwheel' and 'Muleteer's Serenade' were discovered by researchers working on new editions of Elgar's music.

On The Record

A Worcester filmmaker's series looking at music production in the county has proven to be so successful, he's launched a second series!
Jim Lowe's On The Record documents what life's like on the road for our local industry professionals.
Now most weeks, on this show, we catch up with local musicians - and the odd star from the region with advice on how to do well.
But it's not very often we hear from the parents - and what it's like for them on this long journey!
This week, we hear from Andy Maynard - who plays the father role not only for his daughter Tina V - but to her band, This Wicked Tongue, as well!
He's been managing the band since they formed - and says their success so far has been down to the amount of hard work his daughter and her fellow bandmates have put in.

Live Tracks: Becky Rose

Becky Rose is a 21-year-old singer/songwriter from Worcester.
She plays the keyboard and arranges her music at home.
She's just finished a Drama and Performance course at the University of Worcester.
She says music is a big passion in her life but she also enjoys being a 'normal teenager'!
Her songs are usually inspired by moods with the most extreme provoking the best tracks.
Live Tracks: George Barnett

Since then, he's gone on to become something of a YouTube sensation with hundreds of thousands of fans checking out his own creations.
However, his latest cover of Daft Punk's Get Lucky received 3.5 million hits in a week!
Live Tracks: This Wicked Tongue

They make their own T-shirts, their tour bus is run on bio diesel, which they refine themselves, and they make their own music videos.
Meet The Musicians

Since 2011, we've been taking the show out on-the-road showcasing the very best musicians from our two counties.
Once a month, we've been recording acts chosen by us at a
variety of venues across the area - including at some of our biggest
festivals.
Our next recording session takes place on Saturday 22 June at the Droitwich Festival in Victoria Square and features the four acts we plan to broadcast throughout July.
Acts on the bill include Worcester's Done By Sunrise and Woodfield, alongside Herefordshire's Joe Vowles and Paul Daron.
None of these acts knew they were being considered for a live session
- they were chosen based on the tracks they uploaded here - which led
them to receiving airplay on BBC Hereford & Worcester.
Meanwhile, if you're a venue or promoter, and would like to be featured in a future recording session please get in touch.
