In Session
This month's live sessions were produced in the beautiful riverside town of Bewdley, at the Cock & Magpie, on the banks of the Severn.

The venue hosts a number of regular open mic nights in their upstairs bar - so it was a natural choice for us to take the Introducing show there.

Paper Dreams are a Hereford group made up of Catherine, Owen, Chris and Jordan.

They're four best mates, who met through their ability to play a multiple of instruments.

They're now in an acoustic band which consists of guitar, ukulele, melodica, cajon, bango and much more.

Meet The Musicians

Meet The Musicians
BBC Introducing in Hereford & Worcester supports unsigned, undiscovered and under-the-radar musicians from our area.

Since 2011, we've been taking the show out on-the-road showcasing the very best musicians from our two counties.

Once a month, we've been recording acts chosen by us at a variety of venues across the area - including at some of our biggest festivals.

Our next recording session takes place on Friday 31 May at the Wychwood Festival on Cheltenham Racecourse on our very own stage and features the five acts we plan to broadcast throughout June.

Acts we've chosen to appear at the festival are Worcester's Becky Rose, This Wicked Tongue, The Delray Rockets, Leominster's George Barnett, Malvern's Dogs Of Santorini, Hereford's Jimmy Heartbreak and Brassick, who are from both counties.

None of these acts knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they uploaded here - which led them to receiving airplay on BBC Hereford & Worcester.

Meanwhile, if you're a venue or promoter, and would like to be featured in a future recording session please get in touch.

Ellie Goulding, Cher Lloyd and now Peace - just some of the acts in our area who are charting right now - not just here in the UK, but right across the world.

Who would have thought that little old Kington, Malvern and Droitwich would have such international clout.

Well - we did, of course!

Peace have just been at BBC Maida Vale performing their take on some well-known classics.

BBC Introducing Musicians' Masterclass

BBC Introducing Musicians' Masterclass

If you're a budding solo artist, an MC, or just started a brand new band then you should check out BBC Introducing Musicians' Masterclasses.

On Thursday 21 March, we visited various locations across the UK - Glasgow, Belfast, London, Salford & Cardiff. DJs from all over BBC Radio, music industry experts and artists got together to host a day of sessions, workshops and masterclasses.

On the guestlist at Maida Vale were Worcester's Shaun Williams, Malvern's 5parks, Bromyard's Tenz, Droitwich's Case Closed and Bewdley's Barbarix.

Invited to Hoddinott Hall in Cardiff were Hereford's Daniel & The Scandals, Kidderminster's Lauren Wright and man-of-many-Worcester-bands Pete Adams.

We covered everything from song writing & MC workshops to promoting your music & making the most of your Twitter accounts.

We also heard from successful artists about their own musical journeys. Our special guests included Ben Howard, Aluna George, Wretch 32, Devlin, Angel, Japanese Popstars, Phil Kieran, Badly Drawn Boy and the Manic Street Preachers.

Tonight we hear from Tom Robinson, who is a BBC 6 Music DJ that hosts a weekly show dedicated to tracks submitted to the BBC Introducing Uploader.

Alongside his vast experience in the world of broadcasting, Tom is well known for his singing and songwriting skills that have led to chart success with the Tom Robinson Band.
