The sweet taste of summer is being cultivated as Ruth delves into the strawberry patch that Carole started last year.

The sweet taste of summer is being cultivated at Beechgrove Garden as Ruth delves into the strawberry patch that Carole started the previous year. The mix of plants was selected to make the plot productive all season long, and soon the early croppers will be ready for picking.

Brian is in the Calendar Border, an area designed to have something of interest every month of the year. It is, however, looking a little bare, so Brian plants geraniums to provide ground cover underneath the taller shrubs.

Ruth is in her competition vegetable plot as she prepares for the contest between presenters to create the most attractive and productive vegetable border. Meanwhile, Carole visits Ellon Castle in Aberdeenshire, and there are all the usual handy hints.
