British RnB trailblazer Estelle chats to Spoony!

Feel-good tunes to make you groove! Plus Estelle is in the studio for a chat ahead of the release of her new album.

Feel-good dancefloor favourites, hidden gems and fresh tunes to make you groove. DJ Spoony serves up a brilliant selection of soulful house, classic soul, disco, RnB, UK Garage, Reggae, hip hop, doo-wop, funk, dance remixes, and much more.

Joining Spoony for a chat tonight is British singer, rapper and actress Estelle. Known for her eclectic blending of musical genres including R&B, soul, reggae, grime, hip hop and dance, she has collaborated with prominent American artists including Chris Brown, will.i.am, Nas, Akon, Tyler, the Creator, Robin Thicke and Rick Ross, among others. Estelle released her debut studio album The 18th Day in 2004 which featured her breakthrough track '1980', she then signed with American singer John Legend's Homeschool Records, in a joint venture with Atlantic Records, to release her second album 'Shine' in 2008. It was preceded by the single 'American Boy', which topped the UK Singles Chart, peaked at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100, and won a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. Estelle is about to release a new album, her first new music is six years. Her latest single 'New Direction' is a joyous affair full of good vibes and disco sounds. Estelle shares what she misses about the UK, teaming up with producer Keith Harris again, her friendships with Stevie Wonder and Prince, and the tracks that soundtrack her being "in-in" and "out-out".

Spoony wraps things up with a ‘Midnight Feast’ track. Think big production, lush orchestration, and the best voices in the business!
