Pig, Birdcage, Antique Fire Screen

Episode 21 of 30

Nigel Havers presides as five sellers aim to get the best price for their items, including a fibreglass pig, claret jugs, a train set, a fun birdcage and an antique fire screen.

Nigel Havers welcomes five more sellers to the Bidding Room, where they try to sell items to professional dealers who are on the lookout for interesting pieces, with help from expert Simon Bower.

First in is Shaun, with an unusual fibreglass pig garden ornament. Picked up from a local car boot sale, the pig has been living in the garden for a while. However, it is time to take the piggy to market and give him a new lease of life. Will any of our dealers bid high enough, or will Shaun be taking him home?

Our second seller is Jinny, with a pair of vintage claret jugs. As a wine connoisseur, Nigel takes a shine to them and teams up with Jinny to help her get a sale. Will his charm help get the price she is hoping for?

Also making tracks into the room today is Andrew, with his childhood electric train set. His house wasn’t big enough for him to play with it, though, so he has managed to keep it in near perfect condition. Sadly, it's now just collecting dust, so it’s time to try to send it on its way to a new home.

Returning to Edinburgh HQ is Nyree, with a Sylvester and Tweety birdcage. The iconic characters are sure to brighten up everyone’s day, but will any of the dealers be up for taking on this boisterous pair?

Last in is Yvonne, with an antique fire screen. She is moving house and no longer has room for it. Will the dealers have their guard up, or will there be a bidding frenzy for the screen?

The dealers today are JB, Mel, Jacqui, Adi and Jon.
