Russell Kane: Forkhill

From building survival shelters to sharing a hot tub on the side of a mountain, comedians Paddy Raff and Russell Kane take an unusual mini-break in Forkhill, County Armagh.

The small town of Forkhill in County Armagh isn’t the world’s busiest tourist destination, which may be why the first thing comedians Paddy Raff and Russell Kane do on their trip there is a forest bushcraft course to build survival shelters out of fallen branches.

Accommodation-wise, they need not have worried because the area boasts a spectacular treehouse to stay in with an even better view of the beautiful Slieve Gullion mountain. The real problem will be getting them to leave once they’ve checked in.

Paddy and Russell discover there’s a lot more to this wee place than you’d first assume. It has everything you’d want in a mini-break - superb scenery, friendly people, great coffee and shotguns?! For one of their activities, Paddy and Russell compete at clay pigeon shooting.

So will Paddy or Russell get the bragging rights of being the better shot?

Will Russell exclusively reveal what his nickname was back in college?

And more importantly, can Nigel take all of this footage and finally make Forkhill the tourist draw it deserves to be when he launches his promotional video for the town?
