Bruce MacGregor with a special programme recorded at the Festival Interceltique Lorient in France.

The Festival Interceltique Lorient in France is the largest of its kind on mainland Europe. This year the country of honour was Scotland which meant that over 200 Scottish musicians played over the 10 days, showcasing the talent and vibrancy of the folk and traditional music scene here. In this special programme Bruce McGregor features the opening concert of the festival which was curated by the Hebcelt festival with performances by Tidelines, Mischa McPherson Trio, and Blasta. Plus we get a sense of the Scottish presence and its wider cultural significance from Creative Scotland and Fiona Hyslop, Cabinet Secretary for Culture, Tourism and External Affairs with the Scottish government.
