In More Detail.....
Scallop Dredging - we look at the plans to allow limited commercial scallop fishing in Cardigan Bay. Opponents claim its "a highly destructive fishing method" but the Welsh government say a two-year study found it was possible in specific areas. Under the new plans, a flexible permit scheme with new guidelines has been introduced to ensure the careful management of the fishery and to protect the site features at all times. We get reaction from the Welsh Fishermens Association and Whale and Dolphin Conservation

Tenant Farms - Powys council has announced it will invest 500-thousand pounds per year to fix the "dangerous maintenance backlog" on the county's farms. We speak to the Tenant Farmer's Association

Park in the Past - we meet the community group in Flintshire that is a step closer to its ambitious plans to recreate a "First Century" environment on the site of a former sand and gravel quarry - after being given a lottery development grant.

Dormice - why staff and volunteers from the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales are delighted to have new residents in boxes they had put in a woodland in Carmarthenshire only this spring

and Birdsong - the sounds of one of Wales' Celtic Rainforests, the Carngafallt nature reserve near Rhayader are celebrated with a live orchestral performance, fusing soul-folk, classical and jazz. And the production is on tour - see here for tickets and dates
