Folk Aduaidh is a new music documentary series that examines the untold history of folk music in Ulster whilst looking at the social, political and cultural backdrop from which the music is set.
The final episode follows the story of northern folk music from the 1990s, which saw the rise of traditional northern supergroups such as Altan, Déanta, Tamalin, Lá Lugh, At First Light and Flook.
With the changes in pub licences in the mid-90s, along with a new era of peace, live folk and traditional music established a new and lasting platform in Ulster to the present day.
