Alan's Hostesses
A Christmas treat ordered from Alan's chatalogue.
In a studio replica of his real front room, Alan greeted the bell ringers of Norwich Cathedral. Thus began his Christmas spectacular. The Boaster biscuits and mulled wine were flowing like, well, wine. Alan had received a brand new Rover Vitesse Fastback for Christmas and was particularly pleased.

Tony Hayers
Tony Hayers
Alan's first serious chat was with Chief Commissioning Editor of BBC TV, Tony Hayers. Try as he might, Alan could not coax Tony on whether there would be a second series of KMKYWAP. Putting all such things aside, Alan shared with his guests a kind and charitable visit he'd made to the children's hospital in Norwich, a trip he'd made in this new Rover Vitesse.

Gordon Heron
Tony Hayers
Back in the studio Alan introduced us to the man who got him where he is today (quite literally) his chauffeur, also called Alan. It was then time to talk to two very special people, Gordon and Liz Heron. Gordon, a professional golfer, was struck by lightning on the 18th hole during the Colgate Cup. Wheelchair-bound, he went on to coach his wife to golfing victory. It was a heart-warming story. Gordon also made maps - private maps that existed only in his mind.

Alan's Massive Cracker
It was supposed to be the climax of the show, breaking a world record for pulling the world's biggest Christmas cracker. Inside the cracker was a kidney dialysis machine meant for the local hospital if the record was broken. Instead the cracker caught fire (thanks to White City Pyrotechnics).

The Big Finale
Alan had 77 youngsters in costume back stage ready for the the big finale: The Twelve Days of Christmas (with Alan Partridge in a pear tree!). Sadly the number was ruined by half a smouldering cracker and the guests were getting irritable. Quite understandably Alan lashed out, punching Tony Hayers in the face with a turkey. Alan's TV career looked finished. There was nothing left to do but get Mick Hucknall on to close the show.
