To showcase Alan's hitherto untapped talent for light chat, BBC Radio 4 wisely provided a platform on which Alan Partridge could hobnob with the stars. Obviously no one listened, that's radio. What it proved without doubt, however, was that there was a new 'chat' in town. Boxed sets of the series are available on CD and audio cassette format.
