Weekend weather and walking
If you've got any plans for the weekend, Saturday looks the best day for a picnic, trip to the coast or a walk in the hills.
Any mist first thing on Saturday morning will clear, leaving a dry day with sunny spells. And after a chilly start with a local ground frost it will feel a little warmer than recently.
Top temperatures will be between 12 and 15 Celsius with a light to moderate west to north-westerly breeze.
Saturday evening looks dry but rain over Ireland will spread into Wales after midnight.
On Sunday morning, have a lie in because Sunday will start off wet and breezy. However, the rain will clear, leaving a much drier and brighter afternoon and evening - so some sunshine and just the odd shower.
Temperatures 12 to 15 Celsius with a moderate to fresh south to south-westerly wind veering west to north-westerly once the rain clears through.
Next week will be warmer but not completely dry. Fronts from the Atlantic will bring cloud in but with high pressure over us - there shouldn't be too much rain.
There are two walking fantastic festivals on in Wales this weekend:
The Prestatyn and Clwydian Range Walking Festival
Vale of Glamorgan Walking Festival with 20 walks to suit all abilities.
Enjoy
Derek
