The Western Mail reports today that Welsh pop/opera star Katherine Jenkins is to pay tribute to the victims of the Cumbria shootings at a festival in the area.

Next week's Whitehaven Festival considered cancelling in the aftermath of the shootings, but organisers decided to proceed with the event at which Katherine Jenkins, Status Quo and N-Dubz are appearing.

Jenkins will be singing a tribute finale at the event, dedicated to the victims and families.
