Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones has been talking about a potential alternative to his songwriting career: scripting Hollywood films.

In an interview with indie radio statio Xfm, he said, "I have written a couple of scripts. An agency is reading a few. And I did bump into Sean Penn, I was behind him on a plane. It's not being made, but who knows what's up our sleeves."

"I've always been doing writing," he said. "I went to film school, but I've been doing the band since I was thirteen. BBC Wales offered me a job scriptwriting, but then Richard Branson offered me a record deal with Virgin, so I took that."
