Hi Jake,

Once again excellent video blog and overall the coverage on the BBC has been excellent. Lee did a storming job with the very dodgy Schumi.

These video's blog are really good insight into the background of the production process. You guys almost have more equipment than an F1 team! I also enjoyed your little "not much" remark with EJ.

The F1 Forum was also excellent and I think's that was the longest one to date.

I shall give my race review on your written blog later but in the meantime enjoy the break and roll on the next race which is in a MONTH'S TIME AGGHHH - what are we going to do with ourselves?

Wow! So many people involved! But the end result justifies their existence!
Of course I'm passionate about F1 - so the programmes are always top notch in my opinion . . . but even if I compare to other programs (in an unbiased manner) I still think it beats anything else on TV.
There are many rehearsed/pre-recorderd studio dramas that fail to be as slick and enjoyable.
All we need now is Bernie/FIA/FOM to get rid of this 4 week hiatus - it's not good for the nerves with the championship so close.

why its it that schumacher never ever saids he makes a mistake and it is always someone else is fault,poor rubens could have had a really bad accident all because of schumacher, one againhe only gets a smack on the wrist, he has done this so many time and gets away with it!!!

Schumi up to his old antics again.

Jake, Jake, Jake Where was the Vision Engineer (Racks)? You showed the vision mixing gallery and the bloke at the end looked like he was sat infront of some RCP's but i only seen what looked like 4 of them, Do you only have 4 camera channels? or is the Vision Gallery somewhere else? Everyone always mentions sound but never Vision. Sound boys are usualy off playing a gutiar or listening to music while the Vision Engineer sorts the problems out. As you may guess by this comment I'm a Vision Engineer and would love to work on something like F1 but i imagine its so dificult to get to work the program....

Please, Please, Please Give us Vision People a shout out, People dont realise that we exist because home video cameras are so point and shoot they don't realise that broadcast cameras need setting up and constantly adjusting for the light and colour balance conditions....

Don't forget Vision Engineers have the ability to make people look awfull on camera if they are pee'd off by the artist or presenter... lol

Good blog, i like seeing how you produce the show over a grand prix weekend, seems like a fairly cramped space, but also looks like a lot of fun. The BBC presentation of Formula 1 is of the highest quality, i really enjoy watching it. Formula 1 is so often referred to as a circus and a family, and everytime you bring someone in to interview i feel you capture that essence whether it's from EJ joking with someone (or like how he *had* to shake Rubens hand at the end of the show) It's really great how you show that side of Formula 1. I'm wondering if you can suggest anything to someone looking to be a cameraman (already been to uni have a show reel etc)

Anyway about the race, as far as hungarian grand prixs go, that was one of the most entertaining have to ask what happened to Liuzzi's nose cone, because it wasn't shown or talked about, it was just there on the circuit and caused a race defining safety car. Vettel and particularly hamilton was unlucky, webber made his own luck, and Rubens overtake on Micheal was the overtake of the race. Though that was immensly dangerous by Schumacher, in Canada against Massa, you can see Schumacher will defend the middle of the track so that which ever way his opponent goes he would push them to the edge or off the circuit, and the same happened to Rubens, only luckily for Rubens, the concrete wall ended and he ended up being able to use the pitlane exit, which is still incredibly dangerous should a car be coming out.

All in all the Grand prix was good one very pleased, enjoy the next month off, something major seems to happen at every race this year and you've got one of the best circuits in the world next up. So it should be a good one.

Brilliant Job Jake - love the programme - always got the right balance of topical questions to guests and information (love the Brundal throw away comments!) I think you should provide us with a short comedy film of Sebastian Vettel's reactions today - haven't laughed as much in ages from him hitting the Number 3 sign when he pulled up, running in the building so he didn't have to congratulate MW, then him protesting just before the podium including '..then he just went ...' comment to him then throwing his hat down as the Austrailian National Anthem started - the faces he pulled - it was like something from Little Britain - so funny! Keep up the good work everyone - love it!

Fantastic coverage Jake, knock the spots off ITV!The build ups and the stories leading up to the grand prix are done brilliantly and really expose the sides of Formula 1 that are rarely seen.
Just a little suggestion for an idea for the build up before a race, could you do something like a day in the life of a Mechanic or Driver etc? I can't remember whether you have done this before, but it would be really cool to see what they get up to on a normal day off or away from the racetrack during a grand prix weekend! DC as astute as ever, EJ as entertaining as usual!

Top stuff a usuall Jake, thank you for the insights, i enjoy them as much as the racing (nearly), i have to say i'd pay the liecence fee just for F1 and happyly accept all the other programs as a bomus.

I used to moan about the licence fee before the BBC got the job back from ITV.Not anymore! As Rob said, the F1 coverage is worth the licence fee alone.

Jake it's all the little extra bits you guys feed us on the site that make it that bit more special. You should do a "Build-up to the event" Video Blog.
All the guys working on the show are excellent, you should get some more of this stuff from the other guys too. Get D.C. to show everyone his Trophy collection, and Eddie to show us his wardrobe!

Brilliant idea for a video blog, I enjoy all of the BBC content on F1. I think you have all truly opened F1 up to a much bigger audience and covered all the bases with interactivity especially things like this video blog (more please) and the F1 Forum.

I have one request if you could sometime do a feature on the Safety Car and Medical car for that matter, we all see footage of Bert Mylander and the co-driver (whoever he is) but could we have some information on them, like their experience etc, their weekend and responsibilities. They all do a very hard job and are obviously very good drivers but what are they like?? I personally would like to know.

Please don't let ITV get it back, but please let Legard let it go! Although I admire him and all, I don't like his commentating style where as Brundle is relaxed and only when the Schumacher/Barrichello incident happened did he shout an 'oh!'.

No wonder Brundle has won those awards.

Thanks Jake, it's interesting to get a little idea of what goes on behind the scenes. The BBC's coverage of F1 is so superior to ITV's it is almost incomparable and being able to watch the practice sessions and listen to the chat from Ant, Crofty and the guests is the icing on the cake. There is one slight weakness in the tv commentary box, but let's not dwell on that.

The trailers for the production team obviously collapse to allow them to be transported and it would be interesting to see what's involved with the construction of the various hospitality facilities you've been broadcasting the forums from. Didn't David Coulthard use a motorhome for the European races and do any of the current crop do that?

With the various controversies of recent seasons, it had been looking good for F1 this year, but it seems we can't get through the season without something boiling over. Team orders have been discussed at length before, so let's leave that to one side and ask is there any room in F1 for someone who has earned a reputation for behaviour of the type we witnessed from Schumacher yesterday? He has been penalised for unacceptable behaviour on the track on more than one occasion before and, as pointed out by more than one person yesterday, he sets an example for younger drivers.

I would have ripped up his competition licence when he crashed into Jacques Villeneuve, as most people expected him to. It wasn't acceptable when Senna did it either and the FIA should reconsider the penalties for deliberately dangerous driving. The consequences of Schumacher's actions yesterday could have been horrendous and weren't far from being so. We've also seen his compatriot, Vettel, copy his tactics off the starting grid too often already. Do we have to wait until someone is killed for the authorities to take this seriously?

Following last year's controversies, perhaps it was commercially attractive to have a big personality such as Schumacher return to the sport and refocus all the attention on the racing. Perhaps he will improve in a more competitive car next year after winter testing, but it looks more like the sport has moved on and left him behind, because testing is no longer available during the season. That's not just to his disadvantage, as the junior teams might have benefited from being able to test, if they could afford to. I suspect the most Schumacher can hope for is to beat his team mate occasionally and that's not going to be easy with Rosberg proving consistently quicker this year.

With yesterday's incident and his lack of pace against his own team mate, Schumacher seems only to be detracting from the sport and, as David Coultahrd said, he really needs to re-examine his future. We are going to lose some teams for financial reasons at the end of this season and it seems a shame younger drivers will lose out when Schumacher should accept reality and retire for good. We're enjoying an exciting and competitive season without any contribution from him.

Two incidents have made my blood boil so far this season:

1. Massa giving way to Alonso at the German GP

2. Schumacher trying to drive Barrichello into the wall at the Hungarian GP

Schumacher's driving was blatant, disgraceful and dangerous, he could have caused a very nasty injury to Rubens. A 10-place grid drop at the next race is not a punishment. He should have been made an example of and banned for the rest of the season, thus sending him back into inevitable permanent retirement a little earlier than will be the case.

The coverage of F1 by the BBC just keeps getting better!
From the invaluable Red Button service of every practice session, the video interviews on the website, the insightful features on Saturday and Sunday to the race itself and the unique Forum, it's worth every single penny of the licence fee.

Doin' a good job there!

I've always thought: the default position for racing cars is that they should tend to be of some value/relevance to road car development, loosely speaking. Disc brakes, fuel efficiency, composites, aerodynamics, traction, tyres, stability, etc. You could say, "That's for Rally cars; F1 cars are pure racers." Well, IMHO it all gets increasingly artificial.
My point? Get rid of front wings. Allow all other aerodynamic development. Rear wings would change if the front wing disappeared.
This way, an artificial (IMO) aid to lap times would be removed. And guess what, Seb or Jenson et al could overtake!
I'm sure this must have been said before but I have missed it if so.

This years F1 coverage is the best ever. The quality of the team and their depth and experience in the sport just shines through (except the girl who does the driver interviews).

The change of pace and (increased) informality of the F1 Forum is a great post race wind down.

Jake - Please, please take some action with the iPlayer team to fix the issues with F1 race WMV downloads. Every race WMV file gets overwritten by the Highlights WMV file because they stupidly are set up to use the same file name. So those of us who can only watch WMV and not Adobe videos are prevented from watching the GP via iPlayer. This has been going on for weeks and many of us have complained to the iPlayer team. No action has been taken - no even an acknowledgement of the issue. The BBC F1 team has a great show, IMHO much better than ITV or Speed Channel, but your iPlayer people are letting the side down badly. Please help.

Front wings disappeared from many cars in the 1979 and 1980 seasons, as the ground effect era produced enough downforce that they really weren't necessary. Banning side skirts put an end to that and front wings returned with a vengeance after that, with particular effect on the very strange looking Brabham BT52.

Whilst that, in itself, might not seem to have any relevance to today's road cars, watching Top Gear last night illustrated what manufacturers have learned from analysing airflow at the front of a car. Top level supercars are one thing and family cars quite another, but many F1 developments do find their way to lower priced road cars, from engine management and transmissions to aerodynamics.

Fantastic video, I always wonder what happens behind the scenes and how many people work towards the excellent coverage.

Just out of interest though, why is the truck (the one with Dave in the back) being decommissioned/not used at Grand Prix? Is there a new one coming for Spa, or is it some form of cost cutting?

Also, any chance the full race/forum could stay on iPlayer more than just 7 days, due to the 1 month break?

Great show again jake and credit must go to whoever decided to use abba's "fernando" song during the ferrari VT- very clever!

Just two minor points- first, it would be great to see/hear more from Ted Kravitz and Lee McKenzy over the race weekend. Ted's reports from the pits and paddock are always great and Lee seems to be liked by all the drivers and thus, her interviews are very good and the drivers mostly appear to be relaxed when talking to her.
Second- with regards to your frantic efforts to apologise if certain people swear on air. Particularly on the forum- ok so if you have to apologise- try to be abit more blasee about it. I highly doubt anyone would be offended by the word "shit". A minor point i know- but its slightly annoying.

Again, keep up the good work. BBC should be seriously proud of the team they have put together because, simly, it works and works well!

Can I just point out that you say it every time Formula 1
is on the BBC that you can catch up with all the action on BBCiplayer.
So far all I've ever seen on BBCiplayer is the highlights.
Yet when FOOTBALL was on BBC if you missed anything the whole match and the highlights were on there. Why is it some sports get all the information on BBC,yet when they moved Formula 1 to BBC 2 to make airtime for FOOTBALL I didn't see anything on the BBC until the day.
I just wonder if someone could check that you get the correct information?

Got to agree with the majority: Schumacher's defensive move on Barichello was bang out of order. If he'd held his hand up and said it was a mistake on his part then people would be feeling a lot better towards him. As it is, it's all looking like a very bitter and sad twighlight to his racing career.

Hi Jake & the team, you'r all doing a great job, EJ's dodgy shirt situation seems to be sorted (just your dodgy white jeans now!) DC impeccably dressed as usual and all good fair comments, "MS should consider if returning to F1 was a mistake" was dead on. It was a stupid move, and could have ended in disaster for RB, but well done to him for getting the point of MS. EJ's fantastic with his "say it as it is" approach, dragging people for you all to interview (or interogate?). MB's info items are informative and interesting, his grid walks are great, we just need him on twitter, I am sure they would be twitterific. F1's weird bad luck got young Seb this time, but tell him to smile & rise above it, were all sure he will get the title one day, he certainly deserves it. So you all keep up the good work, have a nice break, oh by the way what's happened to the twitvids, they were good and getting better. Bye for now.

The Beeb's coverage is nothing short of superb. I've been watching F1 for nearly 20 years now and regardless of technological advances this is the best coverage there has been.

We don't have a television at home and as such F1 is the only reason we have a TV license so I can watch the races.

I am loving the forum too, please dont ever stop doing that... I love the fact I can extend my viewing beyond the credits! I love the amount of depth you can go into and grabbing the interviews with people...more about my opinions of that when I post the big chat.

You're forgetting that Schumacher is the only man capable of pulling such a potentially disasterous stunt off. Hamilton has had his fair share of controversy, yes, but he's not stupid enough to repeat Schumacher's antics.

G'day BBC F1 Team. Q - Why do the pundits hammer Schumacher? He has a car that is barely capable of a top 6 finish position yet 9 out of 10 pundits persist in saying he has 'lost it'. I think the sport is better for his return. He is a hard non-comprimising racer. If only there were a few more like him on the grid.
Re: the incident with RB. Reubens car has brakes but he kept his foot on the gas. A brave decision considering the gap was closing, but he chose to go for it and the GP was a better spectacle for it.
Why would MS simply gift a place to another driver or not squeeze on the right when approaching a right hand turn.
I agree with Mr. Brundle... award points for fastest lap. I also suggest removal of the blue flag rule. It's a race... overtake!!! Where is the skill in moving through the field when other cars have to get out of your way. More hard racing and less excuses please.

Like your style of presentation and the format of the programme and thoroughly enjoy F1 but have serious problems with team orders. Why have an individual drivers competion, posibly the main feature that attracts such a large fan base, if their efforts can be over ridden by team principles with impunity? The FIA have gone to great lengths over the last 3 or 4 years to recreate an exciting spectator sport which has included rules on car design and the conduct of the race to make things more competative. Ferrari get a pittance of a fine compared with the running costs of an F1 team and it would appear, if Bernie Eclestones comments pre Hungary are to be believed, keep first and second because the FIA sees it to be a team sport and principles, manage their teams and individual placings regardles of the rules. Barking.

Surely you lot acknowledge that Jenson is being put to shame alongside Lewis. Theres always alot of smoke and mirrors when you all conveniently ignore button's failures this season.

Hiya Jake and Co. Love the show like most who have said above. I like the interaction the BBC as given to F1 via Twitter and your excellent website. However could there be a constant feed what people are saying on these services or texts on the T.V. say like the ticker feed Final Score have ? whilst I think there a few things like a webcam in the commentry box on the website and finally a show like "Big Brother Little Brother" (maybe be a bad choice but I hope you get the idea) show might be a good idea, where you get the fans, teams and ex drivers their own show fronted by Suzi Perry maybe ;)for say 30 minutes to discuss the events of the day.

Superb job Jake - really interesting to see behind the scenes...and HUGE thanks to all the team for utterly brilliant,hugely informative and often very amusing commentary from everyone concerned... I don't think there is ANY better factual program on TV than BBC's F1 coverage!

ps...can you try and the guys try and convince Bernie to give us HD coverage from next year... and more use of super high-def slo-mo cams so we can see more of the mechanical aspects of the cars if possible...thanks!

Really good video blog. It is really good to see this stuff. Esp with being 'plugged in' to the whole weekend via Twitter, the F1 Forum and the BBC Site. Via this technology you really get a sense of personalisation with the whole experience, in a way that you never have before.

Jake is absolutely perfect for the F1 coverage. He is not afraid to get involved, speak his mind, have a laugh but most of all say what the viewers are thinking. He has rejuvenated F1.

Good blog. They did something similar during the world cup coverage (a walk-round of the BBC's facilities), but I have to say, the world cup team has you beat, Jake! The guy that did that particular walkround was able to explain what each piece of equipment was, who used it, and how it worked. Still, I'm not complaining, it was good to see all the gear you guys use and I'll take an extra 9mins of video from you guys any day of the week, can never get enough. Good job.

P.S Looks like I'm not the only one who drools over the lovely Lee McKenzie. Been a fan of hers for a while. What a woman!

Jake, Thanks for the blogs they are informative as well as very entertaining. I think the coverage that the BBC provides is absolutely brilliant whether it be the red button, website, 5 Live or the shows themselves.

I think the chemistry between all of the presenters is great. Jonathan Legard in my opinion gets very unfair criticism and plays as much a part for the "BBC experience" as everyone else.

I love this sport and it is enhanced by the coverage BBC provides, thank you.

Great blog and a great show Jake. I love the banter that is developing as there is a slight edge to it. Having DC and EJ's insight is always a treat and Martin is a great commentator with his calm analysis that is always spot on. I love the forum too and the fact that you have built great rapport with Lewis, Jenson and Rubens and that Mark and Seb also seem to enjoy talking to you and so we, the viewers, get the best from them.
My Missus is highly delighted that we now have a long break- I shall be climbing up the walls. You guys have one of the greatest jobs in the world-I hate you...in a good way.

I know a lot of people are saying this but please let the big cheeses know. The BBC can never loose F1 again. The coverage shows just how good the Beeb are at their job and everyone on the F1 production team from FP1 through to mondays blogs do an outstanding job every race weekend.

Can i show my interest in a follow up video blog, like the one above with your new truck when it goes into commission. I would like to see what technology we have available now. Even if it is just the truck that has changed.

ITV did an OK job on F1 but they had a much more limited budget than the BBC which of course gets nearly 4 billion a year under menaces from the British public.

The BBC's coverage is good, but I personally miss Eurosports coverage.

Somebody kick Schumacher out of the sport! He was a disgrace as a champion and will never change. I hated the years he was on top, remember the Damon Hill incidents? The man's a whinging spoilt brat and he could have killed Rubens! Thing is, formula 1 has never been so exciting as it is now, a fantastic crop of drivers who seem to fight fair and square and then he's there in the background, wanting some glory and you know he'll do anything to get it. The man's a disgrace and somebody should tell him his time has gone and at last everyone was sighing with relief that the sleaze was finally out of the sport.

I cant help thinking that you all are way too hard on Schumacher all the time though.

Regarding his block earlier on barichello, had that been Senna...or hamilton...or Button...brundle...or Couthard pulling that move, Senna would have been revered, praised for it (the others complimented)...yet you all trash Schumacher...

All Rubens has ever done is moan, groan & pass blame....

Schumacher’s move on Barrichello
Watching the grand prix yesterday and hearing what Mr Brundle and Mr Coultard had to say about, 7 times world champion Michael Schumacher almost putting Rubens Barrichello into the wall infuriated me. I have watched the GP for years and ever since D Hill ran into the back of Schumacher’s car in Australia and lost the title to him people have been very quick to jump all over Her Schumacher. Yes granted some of Michael’s moves over the years have been naughty ’97 springs to mind, but I think the Mr Bundle and Mr Coultard just all too willing to get stuck in on Sunday ever before Rubens had had time to tell his team what he thought. Mr Bundle and Mr Coultard just prior to the event had been discussing Rubens position on the track and had agreed on air that, he may as well finish in the gravel as finish eleventh and perhaps he should just stick his car down the inside of Schumacher and let him decide, well is that not what happened. It makes me wonder what qualifies Mr Brundle and Mr Coultard to criticize the former world champion, as both men had a car capable of winner the title at different times in their respective careers and yet both failed to do so, sour grapes one might think. As for the BBC who hires these two gents just last week on the brilliant Top Gear they had a tribute to the late great Ayrton Senna during which it spoke of how ruthless he was and how he was willing to run his nearest rivals off the track rather than loss to them and portrayed this as a great quality in the man’s graft. Yet if Schumacher does it!?! If roles had been reversed and Mr Hill had been out there on Sunday having had been 7 times champion with the same career behind him, I think the comments might have been along the line of, that’s the Damon we know and love so much. But it wasn’t, it was the German Schumacher. Let’s not forget Mr Coultard that the comments used to be, “The scotch man has failed to finish.” Or “British driver Coultard wins” sound familiar? If Schumacher had not been involved in the incidents with Mr Hill I wonder what you would have to say about him and I don’t know about you, but if Damon Hill drove into the back of me twice, I would be thinking, driving without due care and attention. So maybe Mr Brundle and Mr Coultard should just wind their necks in.

@77 I think you meant to say rubens is the whinging spoilt brat?? you seem confused there...bet youre the sort who didnt blame Couthard when he nerfed schumacher in Argentina 1998? or blamed sutil for nerfing vettel @ silverstone this year...or blamed massa for giving the lead to alonso in germany...

Great commentary and coverage, love the practice commentary in particular, Anthony Davidson and lately Karum Chandok (sorry if I spelled that incorrectly) are amusing and very informative.
Talking of Anthony Davidson, how about the team orders problem replaced by one driver being a 'rookie' - by whatever definition, then No 1 and No 2 drivers can't be contentious - unless the No 1 is scared....
I'm firmly behind Rubens, to squeeze someone onto the gravel is one thing, but to swerve and drive them into a conctrete wall is very, very dangerous.
Schumacher is a supreme champion, but a lousy driver.

I'd like to disagree quite strongly with '73'.

Jonathan Legard just rambles, changing the subject half a dozen times during a single sentence, even he forgets his initial point part way through. He sounds like a octogenerian Alan Partridge.

And as for chemistry between commentators, he (it seemed to me) interupted Martin Brundle at least three times during this race, just as martin was to give another insightful, or at least amusing, comment on the image on screen, I don't see any chemistry.

Anthony Davidson, and lately karum Chandok, have given witty and informative commentary at practice sessions, if not them then someone of the same caliber?

Frankly, I'm not sure that a 10 place grid penalty is sufficient for a manouvere that was so dangerous. What might have happened if Schumacher and Barrichello had tangled near the concrete wall and the pit lane exit doesn't bear thinking about. Webbers airbone incident a few races ago was bad enough...

So I'd impose a one race ban on the offending driver, but still let the team run two cars at the next race, with a substitute driver at the wheel...

F1 needs to get tougher on dangerous driving...

I found the behind the scenes footage fascinating. Being an technician I would love to see more. Aside from that, I think Mark Wilkin would be a good contributor to the Andrew Bensons Classic Grand Prix blog. It was good to hear his brief reminicance of working with Murray, James Hunt and Jonathon Palmer. I would love to hear more from him reagrding the histroy of the coverage of F1, his memorable momemnts and how the BBC covered them.

Is the same OB truck used for the MOTO GP races in Europe as well? Does it handle the 5Live output as well as television?

The BBC prides itself on 'impartiality'. Sadly your post race analysis with Coulthard, Irvine and Brundle constantly slating Schumacher was just getting boring and tired and only off the ugliness of the British attitude to Schumacher. For those looking in from the outside, they will look at that panel and not listen to a single word. It's not as if Jordan, Coulthard and Brundle have history with Schumacher. Brundle, as great a pundit he is, was just desperate trying to condone Senna's dirty moves while slating Schumacher's.

And then Barrichello just magically 'appeared' moments after the race to discuss Schumacher's dirty move on him. As great a guy he is, why does Rubens continually use outlets like the BBC to garner public opinion against Schumacher and to try and make everyone feel sorry for him? Not so much in the interview yesterday, but in most other interviews he either undermines Schumacher's previous successes and seems to exaggerate his own talent and input from his Ferrari days (although last year he showed he was not championship winning material after not getting remotely close to the title won by his team mate - by which time he brought out the old excuses 'The team favour him etc etc) He's a crafty fellow is Rubens.

You are doing great job. I love to watch F1 on BBC.

i just saw your blog off behind the camera at hungary and wonderd if there has been a program of f1 behind the scenes ,to include how the mobile offices of mclaren and other teams and the cars are taken appart and transported to each of the diferent places they nead to be.I was at monoco two weeks after the race and they were still taking the stands down,so how long does it take get things ready for a race.

Jake, I love the coverage now that its returned to its natural home, the presenter team is by far the best lineup to date, Eddies comments have me in stitches, DC brings a great contrast to Eddie's comments, getting the drivers point of view is fantastic, I love the Blog, it keeps the race weekend going for a few more days, Ive commented on Rubens twitter on the race incident with MSC so will leave it there (Rubens ever the gentlemen) keep up the fantastic work, Could you ask DC what inspires his choice of footware, this weekend was quite something.

Please accept my thanks for the teams hard work, I've followed F1 since the early 60's when coverage was minimal if any at all. It's a sheer joy to be able watch it in such great detail these days, keep it up - have a nice break!

I have just lost much respect for DC, EJ & MB....The way you guys harped on about Schumacher was appalling and cringeworthy....

MB excusing Senna from driving Prost off @ 130mph in Japan because "He declared he was going to do it before the race" is utterly irresponsible of MB...To compare that to what Schumacher has done is an insult to MSC and it smacks of your own bitterness towards MSC - maybe from having been soundly beaten by him as a teammate...?

DC then exclaiming about Schumacher hittinmg the back of DCs car @ Spa in 1998 as though it was MSC @ fault when DC lifted off...on the racing line??? I am disappointed DC...you just blatantly fibbed on TV just to strike home a very weak way you are covering this storm in a teacup between RB & MSC today....

As for EJ...all you have done is say whatever provokes controversy @ any time...you are not commentating with consistency.....

Jake, you are doing a great job of trying to add in some neutral views...

Overall I am very saddened to see the BBC F1 coverage degenerate in quality over the last 5 or 6 races....
