I have a little request, the 5 live coverage of the race is not on iPlayer. Don't know if you could ask the iPlayer department to put it online?

Really enjoyed the race yesterday, your coverage was excellent, especially the forum which was so much fun listening to the speculation. Part of the reason why we love F1.

Absolutely brilliant video blog, incredibly interesting and always nice to see what happens behind the scenes.

I think it's a brilliant and innovative idea to use the iPad during the broadcast and, as you said, it brings a whole new level of interaction to presenting. Some might say it's a bit gimmicky. I would say it's the right time to be using technology like this to enhance an already amazing show and spectacle.

I really hope FOM get their HD feed sorted out soon, keep pushing them!

Finally, gotta love EJ, he does like reminiscing about the old days!

Brilliant blog Jake, these are always an excellent insight into F1 and really make us viewers feel part of the team. I particularly enjoy hearing the snippets from the backroom boys who clearly put the long hours in before and after the race and deserve a lot of credit.

I really enjoyed Anthony Davidson's contribution to the F1 Forum, will we be seeing more of him in future?

Also, did Ted Kravitz and Lee McKenzie find anything more out about THE crash?

Nice blog Jake. Nice to have a view of what the pit area looks like once the TV coverage has ended and the less glamourous work of packing up begins.

Thanks for the explanation of the iPad. I dare say for most of us it was pretty obvious the kind of things you were using it for, and it seems a good idea to take advantage of the flexibility and functions it gives you access to over a clipboard. Hopefully the moaning about product placement will cease!

Looking forward to the Canada GP. How about a feature on what some still think of as the best racer F1 ever had, Gilles Villeneuve?

I really liked your feature with Heikki - watched F1 for years yet never realised how low down they are or how little they really see. Also enjoyed the Massa grid interview, he seems so much happier in the team than Alonso who seems to be making error after error. I can't remember the last time Alonso spoke to Martin on the gridwalk.

I'm just wondering whether there's a spray that you folks can use to keep Hamilton's 'gal' away. I guessed you were nervous about how she came up post-race, when you said something about how she was going to celebrate with Hamilton... Coulthard was definitely surprised when you said that!

Much better on the iPad front this weekend, obscuring the Apple logo with your hand, but still think a BBC Sport sticker would be better as you had on the clipboard.

Heh, really enjoyed watching that, was great to see what it's like after the race when the main show finishes and all the spectators go home.

My only gripe with yesterdays coverage was the F1 forum wasn't available to us Freeview viewers - I know this is most likely an issue outside of the control of the BBC F1 team (more a decision made further up the chain) but it was wholly disappointing not to be told beforehand!

What usually makes my weekends really enjoyable is listening to the R5L commentary option with the main BBC1 feed, but apart from a couple of Saturday qualifying sessions, this seems to be unavailble to Freeview viewers so far this year.

Also had to wait several hours to watch the forum online as no red button this week for us 'freeviewers' - only the tennis. Come on, BBC!

great to see what the pitlane looks like after the race, a rare insight. funny q coming up - does the truck drivers get to drive round the track in their cabs?!, that would be fun to watch. the race itslf was good although i was shocked to see the Red Bull's going into each other (i am a maca fan but have repect 4 them). with that said, it time to stick my "rocket red" t-shirt on.

I'm sure most of your viewers appreciate greatly the extra mile that you all do, to make a great show.

BBC1 is due to broadcast in HD in the autumn of this year. All we need now is for FOM to give the BBC a HD feed.

During the practice sessions this weekend, Ted (Tango Echo Delta - for Martin) got very excited over seeing 3D cameras being tested on the cars. Surely HD should come first, as most have HD televisions now, unlike the 3D ones.

I've posted elsewhere on this website that I think the BBC needs to offer an oveaseas subscription service - I can see why UK License payers (I used to be one for a while) shouldn't subsidise people in other countries, but why not give us the option of paying for the content?

Very good insight into the alternative world of F1, the BBC is producing a very good package and they are certainly doing better now than in previous years. however jake, try and avoid using the term English TV, when you are the BBC.

Excellent video blog Jake, further enhancing the BBC coverage. Please don't let them replace your excellent written blogs tho.

In an ideal world it would be good to have the F1 forum available across all formats but I understand that freeview is changing and at the moment the additional space needed for the F1 forum (when other live events are on) isn't available due to freeview HD, meaning the BBC don't have room for much on the red button which at the time of the F1 forum was being used for the live tennis. Might be a good idea to repeat the F1 forum on the red button when its not able to show it live.

Video Blog is a great idea, but it makes it inaccessable to your many overseas followers, Including me, which is abit unfair. So, either open up the access to the world or stick to the standard written system which we all can see, read, and enjoy.
Again, I think you and the team, DC, EJ, etc do a great job and fill a massive space left by good old Murray. Remember that the BBC serves more than just the UK, we Ex-Pats need to keep up to date too. Auntie Beeb has a duty to us, she is the best.

As many have said, great video - I really enjoyed this (and the one you did a while back with the feed of your earpiece). I love the fact that you produce these extra things that you don't have to.

Also, refreshing to think back to the start of the season, when everyone claimed it'd be impossible to have an interesting non-rain race, since overtaking was so hard.

I wonder if Mclaren had deliberately fuelled their cars slightly light to try to keep the positions off the start, thinking that by the end of the race (or if there was a safety car) everyone would be spread out - or that even in low fuel mode, their competitors wouldn't be able to overtake. It's a valid strategy...

Fantastic vlog. Really interesting to see the different parts of a GP weekend - how quickly the teams dismantle their garages and also how the BBC coverage is composed. Keep nagging the FIA about HD and I look forward to reading/watching more from you in Canada!

I may have missed any comments you might have made Jake, but any comments on Hamilton's stupid earrings? It has made him look like a chav! I bet his father would not have allowed this. Men do not wear earrings, period. My advice is, grow up Hamilton, you are arguably the best driver in the world, so don't try to look like some idiotic Amercian football player.

And I just really wanted to say that I'm really surprised and pleased at how much effort you put into giving coverage of each race and all the behind the scenes extras etc. So thats all the prep before, the 1 hour live coverage before the race, and then all the stuff after - plus the forum! I (and I think I can say all the BBC f1 viewers) really appreciate all the hard work, time and effort that you and the others put in to presenting the show. I know its your job, but still!

Just woundering if the bbc could do a special insight video into what the cars are like after the race. Looking into what the brakes look like after compared to before, and same with tyres. Also maybe a look at a F1 engine in more detail, and what makes it sooo special compared to normal v8 engines. Thanks

Your blog was brilliant, iv been a lifelong fan of f1, ever since the prost, senna, mansell days. but iv never had this on tv before the behind the scenes insight that your giving us , its brilliant. Also its good to see a lad my age cos i relate to you more because your from outside f1 too. It would be good to get to know some of the mchanics in a future show and see what there career is like do they change team much? hows there weekend go? and how did they get into the sport. Jake-the F1 coverage on the BBC is really superb. I especially enjoy the pre-race features and the F1 forum, where everything is a bit more relaxed.

Great coverage from the entire team again, and I particularly enjoyed Martin's comment about having lied to the fans for 14years about the threat of rain, it was great to hear him bring a bit of reality back into the commentary which was starting to get silly about the real threat of rain. I also enjoyed your comment to Lewis' gal, DC almost spat his false teeth out and EJ cracked up at DC, its great to see the camaraderie between the BBC team.

One question that I would an answer to is the pecking order of different media organisations in the paddock. I have felt for years that we here in the UK have been brilliantly serviced by yourselves and ITV before by excellent access, and hearing the comments about Tanya from German Sky makes me wonder if the BBC is top of the pile?

It is a real pleasure watching your BBC Formula One Live coverage over here in Belgium. And although we can also watch it here in Belgium in High Definition, I prefer dropping a few (TV)lines to get all the extras you and your team offer.
Sadly is the fact that we cannot check out your video blog here together with lots of other interesting videos. Why is that?
Is there a way that we can also see it in EU mainland?

Hey Jake. Forget HD, I want 3D!!! During the practise sessions, the commentary team on 5live spoke about the ongoing experiments with broadcasting in 3D. That sounds seriously sexy, I'll have some of that.

HD's for wussies!!! Gimme Lewis Hamilton burning through my living room at 180mph, that would be hardcore!

I do enjoy the bbc coverage of the F1, you have created a show within the show of F1, where as before hand, it was just the F1 race with a bit added on. I think you have got a great constrasting mix of people presenting the show, much the same way Top Gear has rised to fame by getting the balance just right.

Next time, could you get some clips during the race too? So we can see what you really get up to. Even arriving at the circuit and setting up would be cool. Low res vids from your mobile phone would be fine - we don't need full broadcast quality video for a video blog.

Also, please please please splice some live action into the main opening credits? Unfortunately the best way to enjoy the opening credits now is with your eyes closed. It's been the same since the first race last year. Live action edited in would really spice it up and do the Chain justice.

But Jake I'm sick of reading and hearing about bl**dy iPads! Please, please if you must use one, put some gaffa tape over that Apple logo. This is the BBC, you shouldn't be giving Mr Jobs free product placement publicity; or have you got a sponsorship deal with them?

As regards the show, the coverage isn't bad but I think the Jake, David and Eddy show goes on a bit too long, particularly before qualifying. If I've recorded it, I mostly fast forward through it to get to the real action! Sorry.

Great idea! I don't go as far as closing my eyes but I do find them a bit dull and dreary, we have had enough great moves and moments this season to spice them up a lot.

Great blog Jake. It was interesting to see what you do after the race instead of reading about it. What a FANTASTIC race. Lewis was on great form & totally deserved the win today. Go Mclaren Team show the Red Bulls what you are made of. Exciting watching F1 again on the BBC, sooooooooooo much better than ITV. Did Ted Kravitz & Lee McKenzie find out anymore on those conflicting comments about who was to BLAME - VETTEL caused the crash - for the Red Bulls crashing? Maybe in Canada we will find out the TRUTH!!!

There are two concerns I have about the tablet PC:

First, there's no attempt to obscure what it is or what brand it is. It's a very distinctive device and there are countless cases and holders available that would make it less obvious what it is. Why isn't the BBC using one of these, or as others suggest, covering the company's logo with an alternative sticker?

Secondly, it has only appeared on screen at the Monaco and Turkish Grands Prix. Tablet PCs have been around for YEARS - why choose this one and why has it suddenly appeared at the same time its creator is trying to promote it as much as possible?

Great blog Jake, I think you're able to talk about so much more with a vlog than a standard written blog, and it was great to see what goes on when all the crowds have left and it's time to pack up the toys.

HD F1 would be great, not sure why FOM aren't in on that already. I'm not fussed about 3D though, all hype and not much good. If it ever arrives I'll stick to normal 2D thanks.

Also, great to have Anthony on the forum again, he's always a welcome addition to the show and his insights I feel are usually spot on. I know he's of racing for the next grand prix (good luck ant!) but more from Ant at future grand prix will be very appreciated.

PS @33 - I think it is you who needs to grow up my friend. It's 2010, if a man wants to wear earrings, where's the problem? If you don't like it, go back to the 50's where you belong. Oh and I'm not a Hamilton fan either, just don't like the prejudice for earring wearing men.

Jake, you obviously have a passion for doing what you do well. Your presentations are informative, amusing and very professional and it's a great pleasure to watch. We get some idea of the hard work involved from your video blog and it was very interesting to learn earlier from you what it's like to try to present the show whilst someone's chatting in your ear. You've obviously developed a good relationship with a lot of the personalities in the sport and I hope you get to enjoy it every bit as much as we do. Thanks Jake.

Not sure you're giving EJ the respect he deserves however. I know he can be a bit wordy but just feel that sometimes you take the 'mick' unnecessarily.

Great video blog jake, keep up the good work, would love to see some more behind the scenes stuff. Did anyone notice Vettels hand gesture when he got out of the car after his crash with Webber, what was that all about? Not too sure about Vettel, he comes across as a bit moody, pretty sure he's not happy about Webbers recent form.. hence the pretty desperate move he made on Webber.

Having watched the Turkey Grand Prix and studied the videos of the Red Bull incident, including the interview with Adrian Horner I have come to the conclusion that Mr Horner himself is responsible for the crash.He said that Mark Webber was on fuel save mode, presumably instructed by Mr Horner, and that Seb Vettel was on full race mode.I wonder if he told Mark Webber that Vettel was on full race mode and had plenty of fuel. Or was this Mr Horners way of getting his favoured Vettel to win the race. If so he really messed up didn't he. I don't suppose he will admit to anything resembling this explanation but for him to intimate it was Mark Webbers fault really beggers belief.

What on Earth is 53 on about?

I dont suppose there is any point in asking why the beeb seem too much pro-button. And also despite the exciting but unfair (as lewis slowed down as instructed but button ignoring which is not in the interests of team spirit) last moment clash with the mcLarens - why is it that jenson seems to get alot of praise for:

1) ignoring team instruction & pulling a move on lewis when both drivers were told to slow down - one of them actually did but the other quite selfishly thought he'd just do his own thing - I guess you could say that it was technically cheating.
2) Jenson spending the whole race just following the pack & not applying any pressure?

If lewis or michael did that they would be accused of not playing fair; rebelling against the team & not being a team player.

-I know that this question along with the 100s/1000s of the same will be conveniently ignored by the panel.

Jake, your video blog is excellent and should certainly be used at regular intervals throughout the season.

As usual the BBC coverage of F1 is A1. I would also like to add that the BBC website for F1 is simply first class. Loads of videos, photo's and information on the sport.

Martin Brundle's grid walk just before the race is legendary and I just love it when a team positions itself between the the F1 car and the prying lens of the BBC camara. It happens every year and yesterday it was the turn of Red Bull. Maybe the BBC should upgrade too and use an X-ray camera. :)

I am sure your video blog was very good but those of us who live outside the UK, Spain in my case, cannot access videos from the UK

As always Jake, a fantastic insight behind the scenes of F1 on your blog. Brilliant reading as always and also viewing for this first time video-blog.

The Turkish F1 race has been the most intriguing of the season so far - teammates battling each other, McLaren reducing (almost completely removing) Red Bulls advantage, the resurgence of renault, the comeback of Schumacher etc etc.

Just wanted to agree with #8 above - the vacuous Pussycat Doll doesn't have anything interesting/sensible/intelligent/exciting to say on the subject of F1, nor add a lot to the BBC coverage... I'm sure she is nice and makes Lewis Hamilton happy, but please let's just leave it at that. To interview her on the BBC both before and after the race was at least two times too many!

Terrific video blog - what a good idea!
It is great to get behind the action and the gloss. I too am often thinking what are they doing now? Is it all panic and scripting for the after race stuff or are you just sitting back watching the race and chugging a couple of beers!
Believe it or not I got into F1 because of my 78 year old mum, a staunch supporter of DC - she lives near where he grew up and I can tell you he didn't half catch it when he made a mistake (fortunately tv is only one way)!
Doing a good job Jake, you do seem to be enjoying it more this this year, DC seemed to be sweating more than you yesterday on red button.

I agree with comments regarding an HD feed, and ultimately 3D. Would make for such a better experience, especially on larger screens

I suspect Jake uses an iPad as his tablet of choice as older ones just never caught off (although Sky use 'other' brands).

Great race too, excellent coverage as always, but again some HD and 3D would be great for early adopters

I was really imressed by Anthony Davison's thoughts on the Maclaren boys, i too had similar thoughts after seeing how Lewis reacted after the race, i suspect he was being very diplomatic and professional but was clearly surprised by Jenson's actions.
Again the red bulls showed us how to grab defeat from the jaws of victory, thats a situation which is going to develope over the season.

Hello Jake, I'm sure it is a nice idea with the video blog, but if you do that please make it available for everyone. If you can't do that for whatever reasons, then please, please go back to the written one.
I really enjoyed your inside view and I think you do a fantastic job together with DC and EJ, it would be shame if I can't do that anymore, just because I don't live in the UK.

Formula 1 IS available in HD. SpeedTV in the US shows F1 in 720p and it looks a lot nicer than what I saw on the BBC this weekend (I'm an ex-pat visiting the UK). The text overlays are especially nice and clear.
Never thought I'd say this but I kind of missed my usual American F1 coverage (though I didn't miss the ad breaks).

Excellent insight Jake, I think I'd pay just as much money to see the mechanics pack up and take in the atmosphere of the track hours after the race as I'd do for the main event. Must be hard to enjoy it after a day nearly as long as the mechanics themselves though!

The iPad took me by surprise in Monaco, but I think if it had been a bog standard tablet, people wouldn't take notice. Due to it being so recognisable it will kick up a storm so it might help to slide it into a slip case or cover so people stop forget about it. Not that it takes away from the coverage.

Regarding the comment you made about representing the entire paddock fairly, I think its always going to be a struggle. Most people support either Ferrari or McLaren with a couple of Red Bull, Renault and Williams supporters dotted about. Naturally you'd want to cover the action at the top to satisfy the majority and it is commendable the coverage you've given to the minnows, but I do feel the midfield lose out a bit.

Its not the most exciting business watching the midfield scrap for periphery points and pride, but I do think it has a certain intensity that isn't covered. These are the teams that could disappear from the grid at a moments notice. As a Force India fan myself I'm thrilled with their form so far and even though Turkey wasn't their best showing, I'm sure they'll come back.

Maybe in the the next few shows you can dedicate 10 minutes or so to a midfield team either in pre-Quali or pre-Race. The renaissance of the Jordan team (Eddie would love that), the hunger and youth of Toro Rosso, Peter Sauber's return to the big time and what to do with Williams. Dr Mallya is the best thing to happen to Jordan since Mr Jordan himself, so maybe you can persuade him to give an interview on the rise of India in Formula 1 and the team's form this season.

Otherwise, excellent coverage, can't wait for Montreal.

Hey Jake, Awesome blog - a really nice way to shake things up a bit and surprise us! I was at the Monaco GP a couple of weeks ago and I walked around the track after the race and saw the pits etc. It is a really exciting time that we as television viewers mostly miss out on.

I think more video footage like this outside race weekends is a good idea - as currently you basically have the race weekend for video coverage and then the blogs with rehashed footage.

I can't get enough of the BBC and it's coverage of F1 these days. The BBC seems to be improving constantly. Well done for the award for the Monaco 2009 intro btw I thought that was a really well done at the time.

In response to your blog I thing you guys do gel well together - as #50 Sam points out a bit like the guys from Top Gear. I think Mr. DC needs to relax a bit though, seems to take jokes quite seriously.

Out of interest: Why do the BBC not make the iPlayer so that you can pay for certain programs after the 7 day period? I went to the Monaco Grand Prix this year however by the time I returned I only had a couple of days to watch it - but it was awesome wasn't it. I would pay at least £5-10 to have a copy, I am sure a lot of people would too but old Grand Prixs are legitametly just unobtainable.

Another point can the BBC try and get a better microphone on the camera when the winning three are talking about the race etc and keep the comentators quiet.

Did you see Mark Webber explaining the accident to Lewis Hamilton at the drivers press conferance? Now that was quite amusing, his arm movements showing how Vettel crashed into him.

Loved the video blog. Topped off an excellent week of F1 coverage.
Great racing, great insight from experts, great bit of intrigue and conspiracy theories. Then there was the unintentional humour - Jak suggesting that Hamilton could celebrate in a certain way with his pushy, camera loving girl and then better still, Jake squirming when he had been told that the Renault manager had actully said clean SHEET.

Loved the detail showing what happens post race - how about a future blog showing the background work when the teams dirst arrive.

Awesome blog Jake! You, EJ and DC have a really great chemistry and over the course of this season have been tuning in to the forum and reading the various blogs a lot more often.

I agree with #82 who talked about the coverage for the midfield, I was watching the race with the timing screens up as well and for the last few laps I noticed Jaime Alguersuari delivered several fastest laps towards the end of the grand prix and had there been a few more laps could have had a good chance of some well deserved points. Which went almost unnoticed, I get that its not a major headline news that would have had a major impact on the outcome of the race and that the Mclarens were coasting to the end so weren't delivering their best lap times but considering his grid position and his car I saw that as being quite impressive.

I think the suggestion for maybe 10minutes or so of coverage dedicated to some of the new boys, like Jaime or Kamui Kobayashi, in the midfield and the way they have developed since last year or since the start of this season.

Other than that , fantastic coverage as always, can't wait for Canada !

Excellent show again and superb video blog, more of these please. Fascinating to see what goes on after the race. Would have loved to have heard Martin Brundle's thoughts on Red Bull.

As for the race, fantastic result for McLaren especially Lewis as he needed a win because so far this season he has done everything right - Well done!

As for Red Bull I think THAT incident will just run and run all season long now and it'll be interesting to see if they dominate in Canada. As they say, all good things must come to an end.

The last 2 seasons of f1 coverage have been the best ever and i couldn't wish to change anything about the show. The pre race build up on sunday was really touching.

I'm sure I am not the only viewer who feels you get us the best seat in the house every time from hearing you guys talk about the upcoming race to sneaky shots of the drivers and mechanics preparing. You really do make the whole world feel like they are right there with you and it makes for an amazing show. I am also called pete like your camera man so it's especially funny to me when you say something like. "ok pete, you come with me."

Thanks again to the whole team brilliant show! P.S you should send martin brundle to interview the ferrari folk more often. He looked as happy as a kid with a stick and a bug when he jumped in that fezza!

Congratulations on being the only person to find a use for the Ipad where one couldn't simply use a netbook/Laptop/Iphone/PocketPC instead.
Apple must be over the moon that someone has finally actually found a use for them.

I don't understand why people keep bashing on about the use of the ipad. It looks a hell of a lot more professional than when jake was using a phone to view the emails, twitters etc while interviewing someone as it looks like he's bored of the interviewer and playing on his phone while really he's trying to do his job.(I think it was with nico rosberg during the forum in the mercedes motor home)

I bet if Horner had been angry enough to give Webber and Vettel a whack with a cricket bat after the game, some people here wouldn't have anything to say except point out that he should have stopped to put a bit of tape over the maker's logo first, and criticised him for not using another brand instead.

Must say I'm amused that many seem offended by seeing a particular logo in the coverage of a sport which has logos splashed over anything that moves, and most things that don't move...

Perhaps Jake should put a big sticker over the Apple logo with 'Get A Life' printed on it. :)

spotthelemon: I doubt Apple are over the moon about Jake finding a use for the iPad, although they are probably quite pleased about the hundreds of thousands of other people that have found a use for one!

#90 - Jake did seem to be using a mobile phone to read things out during the forum this weekend, so it begs the questions over whether the iPad exists solely to promote the private company 'Twitter' and as an aforementioned fashion accessory. I find the iPad distracts from the show which is supposed to focus on F1.

I see no reason why the heavily exhibited iPad can not be placed in a case. Not only would this stop Jake worrying about dropping it (as he mentioned to Ross Brawn during the quali build-up) but it would also mean the BBC F1 broadcasts start to conform to OfCOM rules on product placement and that would not be such a bad thing.

OK, so a couple of thoughts here:

Great blog Jake, good to see some video and get a great feel for the after race atmosphere and work that goes on.
As for the expats that can't get it..... Deal with it. OK a little harsh but you made the choice to be an expat, don't lobby for the abolition of something us UK brits can enjoy - and I do have expat friends. Seems to me that either there needs to be a way to get the video accessable to all or perhaps there needs to be a transcript of the video for others to read.
As for the I-pad debate, I just don't get it? I am not a big fan of Apple, I purposly avoid buying an I-pod as I think you are paying for the name that is no better than any other MP3 player but if the I-pad works then so be it. We all know what it is, a BBC logo sticker will probably highlight it more than leaving it blank. I can't see what the fuss is all about. If you really hate apple that much then don't mention it, you are already drawing attention to it!!
I've said it before but I'll say it again, I would love to see more of Ted Kravitz on the forum etc. I really enjoy his post race insight on the internet and his voice from the pits during the race. It's actually a shame that he appears to see so little of the actual race as he is in the pits looking for the next story. Would be great to get perhaps a video blog from Ted so we see what his race weekend is really like.
As for HD then like everyone else then I would look forward to this. I know that the race feed is something the BBC can't control but there is enought other content re pre and post race to warrent HD coverage even if, for now, the race isn't HD. Why don't we start with that for now and see where it takes us?
Apart from that, keep up the good work BBC, so much more professional that our previous broadcaster!

Excellent use of the blog Jake. I don't think there is an F1 fan on the planet wouldn't like to go behind the scenes whatever you are filming.

Have to admit that most of the race yesterday was boring, trying to overtake during a tyre change does not make for an interesting race. However it finished very well and I guess that's what I, and others, will remember.

I've always been a huge F1 fan and had drifted away when the 'other channel' were broadcasting, I cannot stand ad breaks. Now though, every second weekend is taken care of. It's not just the race and assorted happenings, the whole BBC team do a marvelous job. Long may it continue.

Oh and watch out for those forklifts Jake I think they're out to get you!!!

Oh no an i pad! horror of horrors LoL. gaffa tape Jake ;) comes in silver and just the right sizr to cover an apple, i'm sure there's loads around the Pit area :) good for stopping people with too mutch time on thier hands from having heart attacks for absolutly no reason what-so-ever, mind you then some will moan gaffa tape look unprofessional.

Personly i find the pad way more professional looking that a clip board but you know the saying "you can't please all the people all the time" and some people you just wont please no matter what you do ;)

Hi Jake, fantastic blog as always. I've had a burning question for some time about the music used in the highlights reel you play during the F1 forum; the longer highlights that are about 2-3 minutes long. If you could find out what that music is, I'd be really happy!

People are making far too big a fuss out of the iPad thing. Stop moaning about something so insignificant. Does it affect your viewing of the coverage? No. Does it make you or anyone else think 'I want to get 1 of them because Jake has 1'? I doubt it. Honestly, get over yourselves, it doesn't make a blind bit of difference. If that's the most important thing that people have to complain about regarding the BBC coverage, then those people must have perfect lives.
