Just popped up to the Radio Wales studio and scribbled on a piece of paper was this:
24
14
13
7
2
Conservative candidate Glyn Davies' prediction. Ah, but which way round are the 14/13 Glyn?
In the name of party morale I said one thing (he whispered) but I think it'll be the other way round (he whispered v v quietly).

There were a lot of people at the ballot disappointed at the lack of a UKIP constituency candidate. It appears there are a lot of radical thoughts out here. If we were voting to disallow candidates I am sure the result more like 3 3 3 3 1, or something similar.

In Carmarthen East is it a waste of my second vote in giving both to Plaid? Would an anti labour vote be of greater benefit if the regional vote had been cast for the Conservatives?

Aren't those the numbers from Lost? Glyn needs to shut the hatch!

Hi Betsan
Huw just mentioned that ICM was commissioned by the BBC to ask about the election in Wales. I was phoned by ICM on Monday night - do you know the person who rang me was from Hertfordshire and couldn't pronounce a single Welsh name correctly - not even close - who are 'Plade Kimroo'?, who is Daffid?, and who is 'Youwann'? You might want to think about this for future contracts. It was a longer conversation than either of us anticipated but at least the caller probably now has a better knwoledge of Welsh pronunciation!

What will be higher, the overall turnout percentage or the number of Labour Party seats?

Isn't it time we had TRUE proportional representation in Wales (and Westminster)? No not a version of the list system or STV, but a system which includes representation for the vast number of people who are totally disillusioned with all the parties.
How about this - if only 35% of the voters turn out - then we allocate 35% of the seats to AMs, and save the wages we would have paid out to the other 65%. That way we would have a 21 member assembly representing the 35% of people who voted, and 39 empty seats representing the rest of us who are sick of being given the choice between nothing and not much at all.
In every AM vote we could then have the ayes to the right, the nays to the left, and the people who know it makes no difference whichever way in the middle.

Any news from Caernarfon? Formerly Dafydd Wigley's seat - all quiet so far, or did I miss it?
