Despite having a Britney Spears review to write, and interviews to edit and pop stars to destroy and...y'know...stuff... I've pretty much done nothing today except read Sleevage, a fascinating blog from Australia which is devoted to album cover artwork.

Now, I appreciate that that's probably among the geekiest sentences you've ever read, but this isn't just a load of guff about fonts and the absolutely correct shade of puce (although there is some of that), it's also a great way to highlight the work of the photographers and artists whose work has been crammed into a 5" square (or 7" or 12", depending) and then racked up in your local record shop. Look!

Sleevage on Editors' 'The End Has A Start'
Sleevage on Lightspeed Champion's Falling Off The Lavender Bridge
Sleevage on Mika's 'Life In Cartoon Motion'
Sleevage on Roisin Murphy's 'Overpowered'

Blur's Greatest HitsAND while I was on there, I found a link to a tutorial explaining how you can create your own version of the Julian Opie artwork to Blur's Greatest Hits, using your own face (and Photoshop). Go HERE to find out more.

And while you do, I'll be reading about the Mothers Of Invention and their face-ripping weasel. TTFN!
