Jasmine Whitbread became the first international CEO of Save the Children in April 2010. She is in charge of its work in 120 countries and revenue of over 1.6 billion dollars.

With a background in international marketing for technology, she became Managing Director of Thomson Financial in 1994. She spent six years working for Oxfam, taking charge of the charity's worldwide programmes as International Director from 2002 to 2005. She had served as Chief Executive of Save the Children UK since November 2005.
