Ann Cairns

Ann Cairns started out as a research scientist and moved into offshore engineering. She moved into banking in the late 1980s and then restructuring in 2008 which involved leadership on the European unwind of Lehman. She joined MasterCard in 2011 as the head of the international business which accounts for around 60% of the company revenue and covers all countries outside the US.

As President of International Markets for MasterCard Worldwide, Ann Cairns is responsible for managing activities in all markets outside of the US. She oversees 6,000 people in 210 countries.
