But this genial member of The Bull's staff was quickly accepted by the village. Rhys is a keen mountain biker and Welsh through and through. Although rugby is his game, he was nonetheless chuffed to be given a chance in the Ambridge cricket team.
He and former boss Fallon Rogers lived together until March 2014, when he was offered a job managing a bar back in Wales. The relationship wasn't strong enough for Fallon to follow him, so they decided to call it a day.
