Lucy Heller came to ARK in 2004 and was appointed CEO in 2012. She oversees the running of 18 academies in disadvantaged communities throughout the UK. She is responsible for a model of education which is driving current government education policy.
She came to Ark after having worked in the academic and trade publishing industries for many years. She was General Manager of the Observer from 1998-1999 and Managing Director of TSL Education, owned by News International from 2000-2003.
