Bonnie

Leader of the rebel Zygon faction, Bonnie takes Clara’s form in order to infiltrate UNIT and advance the Zygon-rebel plan.

Bonnie holds Clara captive and unconscious in a Zygon pod in the Fleet Tunnels, to maintain a psychic link with her mind, gaining access to her thoughts and memories. But this psychic link goes both ways, pitching Clara and Bonnie in a battle of wills – Bonnie may have shot down Boat One, but thanks to Clara’s finger on the trigger the first shot missed, giving the Doctor and Osgood chance to escape… Bonnie’s greatest strength in taking Clara’s body print, ultimately became her greatest weakness.

Bonnie plans to use the fabled ‘Osgood Box’ to expose all the Zygons on Earth and end the ceasefire. But unknown to her, as the name suggests, there are two boxes, each with two outcomes – there are safeguards beyond safeguards. The Doctor has outwitted her.

As Bonnie hesitates, the Doctor is able to persuade her that the only option is to stand down. The Doctor has seen war, on a scale far beyond anything that the Zygons can ever imagine. War won’t bring Bonnie and the rebel Zygons what they want. With Kate Stewart also agreeing to stand down, the ceasefire is restored and Bonnie agrees to dismantle the Zygon rebel faction, working with Osgood as her new partner to keep the peace.
