Alison Nimmo is the first woman to lead the Crown Estate. She is responsible for the management of £8 billion of land and property around Britain.

She trained as a regeneration specialist and worked on the rebuilding of Manchester town centre following IRA bombings in 1996. She was part of the London 2012 Olympic Delivery Authority for eight years. In 2004 she was awarded a CBE for services to urban regeneration.
