Alexandra Shulman has been the editor of British Vogue for over twenty years. She began her career writing for Tatler in 1982, going on to become features editor at Vogue. Becoming editor of British GQ in 1990, she returned to Vogue two years later.

Vogue’s readership has since risen to over one million, and she has been responsible for a number of iconic, collectible covers. She is committed to not promoting diets, cosmetic surgery, or writing prescriptively of particular body images. She received an OBE in 2005 for services to the magazine industry, and is a trustee of the National Portrait Gallery.
