The drawings that show how kids haven't really changed in 800 years

Most people only make history once they grow up. But there are a few exceptions. Onfim was a Russian boy who lived in the 13th century in a place called Novgorod. Archaeologists have so far found 17 pieces of what appears to be his homework.

Onfim also drew pictures imagining himself as a monster and as a knight - the sort that a proud parent might stick up on the fridge, if they had one. Eleanor Rosamund Barraclough explores the world of these fascinating and poignant documents.
