Wet Desert are a young five-piece band from Stourport-on-Severn which formed in 2011.
For the first three years, they played as many gigs as they could as a covers band, eventually adding more and more of their own tracks and finding their own sound.
This culminated in them writing their debut EP in January - and within a matter of weeks, it had received national airplay on the Best of BBC Introducing with Mark Forrest.

European Tour

A Worcestershire band, whose tour bus was set on fire with all of their equipment inside, are back in Europe this week - thanks to the generosity of the public.
In November, Johnny Kowalski & The Sexy Weirdos woke up to find all of their drums, PA and merchandise gone - at an estimated value of £3000.
But after running an online pledge campaign - this week they're in Holland, Germany, Belgium, Italy and the Czech Republic.

BBC Introducing in Bromsgrove

As well as us celebrating our 10th birthday this year, we decided to have a joint party with our friends at The Artrix in Bromsgrove - who are also marking a decade of championing the arts.
They've been doing tonnes with local musicians, too, with performances coming up from The Roving Crows and Remi Harris.
But when their stages aren't being graced by theatre or music, it's been the place where Lee Evans and Michael McIntyre have tested all of their jokes.
Throughout the whole of this month, hear some of the tracks we recorded at the centre from a real mixture of acts across our area.

Relay For Life

One of the organisers of Worcester's Relay For Life is hoping to turn this year's event into music festival!
The charity, which is raising money for Cancer Research UK, has already confirmed there will be two stages in the centre of the course - to entertain the teams as they complete the circuit.
It's taking place at RGS The Grange on September 12 and anyone interested in taking part can find out more at their launch part next Saturday in Angel Place.
Features

- In the news this week: A venue, more used to being filled with pious contemplation and hymns will have people rockin' in the aisles later this month.
- In the gig guide: If you're in a band, you could be in with a chance of playing at Morton Stanley Festival this summer.
