Amoeba's BBC Introducing session
Amoeba's BBC Introducing session
As Amoeba developed and its own identity emerged, ideas blossomed and songs flowed.
With a handful of local gigs behind them they entered and won a Battle of the Bands competition at the popular and respected Stourbridge venue Rock Café 2000.
They also featured on the local BBC radio station BBC Hereford & Worcester and played at the reknowned 'Hole in the Wall' summer concert in Cleobury Mortimer, with Shropshire with artists 'Killer Queen' and 'The Hollies.'
With the close of 2007 delivering a sense of promise and affirmation, Amoeba boosted its live credentials in 2008 with a scattering of European dates, covering The Netherlands, Belgium and France.
With songs coming thick and fast, Amoeba took the now popular route of recording their material without record company involvement and selling product at shows.
Their first 14 track album under the title 'Sweet Perfume' went on sale at live shows towards the end of 2007 and their new six track E.P. 'Where the Future Lies' is now available.
