Cyberstan's BBC Introducing session
This week's live session was recorded at Re-con in Great Malvern.
When we visited Upton-upon-Severn in December, the rivers rose to such a level they threatened our recording session, so we thought 'never again' and opted for higher ground. Only a few weeks ago we were talking about the lack of a Big Chill in Malvern - and then lightening stuck us twice as we experienced some of the heaviest snowfall of the winter (so far!).
Steve Stanley is a Worcester born singer/songwriter who mixes dark wave electro and EDM sounds with guitars, choirs and some orchestra bits for good measure!
He generates all of his material on computer nowadays - but when he first started out in music a quarter-of-a-century ago, he used to front up the Jolly Roger Blues Band before joining goth rockers The Brethren.
Steve then lectured at Worcester College of Technology teaching Music Tech - but now he's now practising what he was preaching as Cyberstan.
