When can I get a ticket?

Tickets for the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards are no longer available.

If you didn't manage to get tickets to this event, don’t worry as you can get involved in all the action from home!! You can listen to the event live on Radio 1 and watch at bbc.co.uk/radio1. Afterwards you'll be able to watch it on iPlayer for 30 days.

There are also still a few remaining tickets up for grabs - Radio 1 will be running competitions giving you another chance to attend Radio 1‘s Teen Awards, keep listening to Radio 1 for further details of when these competitions will take place.

How old do you have to be to attend?

This event is strictly for 14-17 year olds only. No adults 18 years and over will be allowed entry. People who are considered by door stewards to look under 14 or over 17 may be required to produce photo ID (only Photo Oyster Cards, Passports and Proof of Age Cards are valid). If the door stewards have any doubt regarding the legitimacy of the ID produced they will not admit that person to the venue. Refunds will not be issued to ticket holders refused entry because they cannot provide proof of age.

When will I get my ticket?

Tickets will be posted out from Wednesday 12 October. If your tickets do not arrive before Thursday 20 October please contact AXS on 020 3784 7998.

What time does the event start and finish?

Doors at the SSE Arena Wembley will open at 1pm on Sunday 23rd October for ticket holders to enter the venue. The show will commence at 2:55pm and the event will finish at around 5pm. Full details on timings will be available at bbc.kongjiang.org/www.bbc.co.uk/radio1 in the coming weeks.

NOTE: The BBC is not responsible for the safety of young persons while they are travelling to and from the venue. Parents or guardians should make sure appropriate arrangements have been made.

General Questions & Information

Red Carpet

Unlike in previous years there will be NO public facing red carpet taking place outside The SSE Arena, Wembley. There is therefore no advantage in arriving early at this event.

Can I bring food and drink into the event?

No food or drink can be brought into the venue. The bar will be selling soft drinks and snacks only. There will be no alcohol sold at the venue.

Can I bring a camera?

Yes, but please be aware that professional photography equipment such as zoom lenses are not allowed in the venue.

Wheelchair Access

The Arena is fully accessible to wheelchair users. Access is via any of the 5 entrance doors. Selected merchandise and refreshment stalls are fitted with low level counters. In addition to this there are wheelchair accessible bays within the auditorium and disabled toilet facilities on both the North and South concourses by S10 & N10 and one in the main Foyer. Radar keys are available from the main Reception and also from the security team located next to each toilet facility.

Assistance dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome, but it is usually very loud at this event and your dog may prefer to wait for you at a designated area. To pre-arrange this facility, please call 0208 782 5566, or on arrival at the SSE Arena go to the Reception desk in the main Foyer.

Hearing assistance

A hearing assistance system is installed in some sections of the Arena. To pre-book a hearing loop, please call 020 8782 5629.

Valuables

Ticket holders attending the concert are responsible for their own valuables. The BBC will not be liable for any loss or damage to personal property brought to the venue.

Security

Additional security will be deployed around the local area post and prior to the event.

Door staff will be conducting security checks upon entry.

Security at the venue will be a split team of male and female SIA and CRB checked officers.

It is a condition of entry that the ticket holder consents to being searched if this is deemed necessary. Searches will be conducted in the presence of two, same sex as ticket holder, CRB checked, S.I.A. officers.

Ticketholders attending this show should not bring any large bags into the venue – no bags over approximately 35(W) x17(D) x42(H) cm will be permitted on site. Please be advised that there is no cloakroom available to hold personal belongings.

Venue staff

Venue staff will have controlled movement around the main area of the arena. This is to keep the event as a ‘teen-zone’ only venue, and for the protection of all parties within the main venue.

Information Point

There will be sign-posted information points at the venue for anyone with general queries on the show.

At the information points there will also be a qualified welfare team to deal with any issues that may arise during guests time at the event.

Mobiles Phones and Emergency Contact

We would advise all parents /guardians to equip their teenagers with fully charged mobile phones so that they are able to make contact after the show to arrange their pick up. In case of an emergency, teenagers should go to the Information Points or Welfare office situated inside the venue where an officer will assist.

In an emergency, any parent or guardian who needs access to their child attending the show and cannot contact them via mobile phone should go to the arena Reception, located by Door One. Please note that this is for emergency use only.

First Aid

There will be a designated First Aid area at the venue with an appropriately qualified First Aider.
