How to make a Summer Banger

1 - The "Doo-Doo"

2 - The Hook

The next vital ingredient of a Summer Banger is the hook. A short and snappy relatable lyric that goes just before the doo-doo drops, that everyone can get behind and sing.

From Kickstarts to Midnight Run, Example is the genius with words and King of the catchy chorus. After hearing your holiday stories of flip-flop fights and close shaves there was one thing the whole Radio 1 audience shared in common... If only we could have One More Day of Summer!!

3 - The Vibe

The perfect Summer track just feels like Summer. Just pressing play on it transports you to the beach or by the pool, and takes you to the BBQ and long evenings in the park, throwing a frisbee. You've got the stories so make sure your lyrics are upbeat, fun and carefree!

Ok, you don't actually need to be loaded to make a summer banger...
