2. He was the only Asian in his school

"I grew up in a city where I was pretty much the only Asian kid... so I couldn't really go to school and let people know about my Jagjit Singh, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Harbhajan Mann obssession. Sometimes I used to sing their songs in class and that's how I ended up in the ESL Programme (English as a Second Language)."

5. Sunday's were 'Bollywood day' when he was younger

"You'd sit in your living room and pop in a VHS. A lot of the time we'd watch SRK movies and one of the movies I used to watch a lot was Dil To Pagal Hai. (It) reminds me of my Sunday afternoons, freshly washed hair, french fries on deck, my brother on deck, rain pitter-pattering outside and my mum yelling in the background."
6. He's got some lip sync game
7. He was a wedding 'entertainer' as a child

"When we were younger... we were made to listen to a lot of Ghazals, a lot of classical Indian music. Me and my brother used to play a lot of Ghazals for weddings and things like that... people were like 'they're little kids, they know how to sing Ghazals, that's so adorable'. We were little trained monkeys... to go around at weddings and sing for everyone."
8. He's also, believe it or not, a superhero
