How Slaves conquered Later...

A year ago Slaves popped along to the filming of Later... with Jools Holland to watch Drenge, twelve months on they're storming the show themselves. Here's their story so far...

In case you don't know Slaves, they're a raucous garage punk duo from Tunbridge Wells in Kent...

...being smart chaps, they started putting their music on the Uploader at the start of 2012 (at 5 in the morning)

BBC Introducing in Kent heard their tracks, gave the band their first plays and have supported them since...

The Kent team then put them forward to play our stage at Reading and Leeds in 2013...and they delivered BIG TIME:

The boys recorded a special session at the legendary Maida Vale studios

...they started gaining fans...

Radio 1 got on board and gave them a playlist spot earlier this year...

...and as if that wasn't enough, they absolutely stole the show at Later playing alongside U2 and Interpol, with this ridiculously good performance:

...all this and their debut album isn't even out yet!
