The 360 film was made using very small cameras, which made them easier to mount to things such as drums. The team were keen to get footage that took the viewer to parts of the event that you couldn’t get to if you were a paying member of the public. So they ended up clamping a camera on to a bass drum, positioned one right beside the conductor (which took some careful timing to ensure the camera could be taken on and off the Esplanade without getting in anyone’s way) and even managed to get a camera right up beside the lone piper.
