BBC Arts Digital has partnered with Scottish Ballet to produce The Perfect Place - a unique dance performance using cutting-edge 360° video technology. Watch the film and find out more below.
About the film
The Perfect Place tells the story of a couple looking to recapture the spark they once had. By delving deeper into the life of a seemingly perfect relationship, it explores the emptiness and regret behind the façade.
Scottish Ballet partnered with the BBC to create The Perfect Place using 360° technology as a new way to experience narrative dance online. It is the first film of its kind, with choreography and narrative created specifically for the medium.
It is a collaboration between Scottish Ballet’s CEO/Artistic Director Christopher Hampson, choreographer Sophie Laplane, BBC Arts Digital director Laura-Jane McRae and BBC 360 producer Edwin Wyatt. It is part of Scottish Ballet’s inaugural Digital Season, Under The Skin.
