For the first time ever, BBC Radio 1Xtra presented a live showcase at SXSW 2016, giving a platform to six very special new acts who all shared their music with us via the BBC Introducing Uploader. Texas, are you ready for us? It's time to take over!

Next up was 17 year-old South Londoner Jamal Woon - a singer-songwriter as well as video director. This boy's got talent!
JP Cooper
Introduced to the stage by Charlie Sloth, the soulful voice of JP Cooper held the audience spellbound...
Leo Kalyan
Introduced by DJ Target, Leo Kalyan and his band treated us to some chilled, soulful songs that he calls "oceanic beats" - and we drifted away with him!
Elf Kid
Grime MC Elf Kid and Blakie - part of South London collective The Square - hit the stage running and never let up. Raw energy and beats to match!
Shakka
Introduced by MistaJam was the incredible Shakka, who recently performed in the 1Xtra Live Lounge. A multi-genre tour-de-force, this guy's gotta be seen to be believed. What a way to end the night!
