What is the #mumtakeover?
Mum Takeover is BBC 5 live’s spotlight on maternal mental health. Mums everywhere are invited to join the conversation online using #mumtakeover.
Monday 30th April 2018 is the start of the UK’s Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week and 5 live will continue looking at all aspects of mums and mental health across the day.
The first #mumtakeover event, took place on November 28th 2017 at Blackpool Tower.
Discussions on the day ranged from post-natal depression and anxiety, to work/life balance and tackling loneliness.
5 live’s Anna Foster hosted the day, supported by the celebrity presenters who quizzed the experts and heard contributions from the audience and people getting in touch online.

Mum Takeover supporters Netmums, Maternal Mental Health Alliance and Blackpool Better Start were represented on a panel of experts alongside mum-of-one, DJ and Broadcaster Neev Spencer, who’s worked with the Heads Together campaign.
TV presenter Rochelle Humes, former X Factor contestant and Loose Women presenter Stacey Solomon, plus popular blogger and author Giovanna Fletcher helped the audience share their own stories and put questions to the panel too.
