How to get boys back on track

Girls now out perform boys in every subject on the curriculum except maths and science. Almost fifty percent of girls go on university or college compared to fewer than forty percent of boys. Less than a century ago, the chances of girls being allowed to go to university were negligible. So has girls’ success been at the cost of boys?  And what can be done to help get boys back on track? Jane speaks to Sue Palmer, author of "21st Century Boys", a guide for parents, politicians and the public at large, and Dr Sebastian Kraemer Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist  at the Whittington Hospital, London.

21st Century Boys: How Modern Life is driving them off the rails and how we can get them back on track is published on May 21st 2009 ISBN 978-0-7528-9011-1
