What Not To Wear is recommissioned for BBC ONE
Following the huge success of the current series of What Not To Wear, the programme has been recommissioned.
New presenters Mica Paris and Lisa Butcher have proved a hit with viewers and the series has enjoyed good ratings for its run on Thursday nights on BBC ONE.
Each has brought a different background to the show, with Lisa's modelling experience helping her advise on styling and Mica's years as a singer enabling her to help on presentation and confidence - as they confront the nation's badly dressed, from mothers of the bride to women with much younger partners.
Peter Fincham, Controller, BBC ONE, said: "Mica and Lisa have made this show their own - I'm delighted that we're planning another series."
Vicki Barrass and Tracy Jeune, Executive Producers for What Not To Wear, said: "We are delighted with the news of the recommission. It's always a risk to introduce new presenters to such a high-profile programme as this.
"But what we knew from the outset was that What Not To Wear is a very strong format, taking contributors on a journey far beyond their wardrobes.
"Mica and Lisa understood the values of the show almost immediately and have really made themselves at home in it. We look forward to developing the format even further now."
The new series - the seventh - of What Not To Wear has been commissioned by Elaine Bedell, Commissioning Editor for Features and Factual Entertainment, and will begin production in the New Year.
The last programme in the current run is on Thursday 26 October 2006 at 8.00pm on BBC ONE.
