Independent radio production company USP has been awarded the contract to produce BBC Radio Five Live's Formula 1 coverage.
The contract covers the 2006 Formula 1 season starting with the Grand Prix in Bahrain on 12 March and culminating with the Brazilian Grand Prix in October.
Five Live's Commissioning Editor Moz Dee said: "USP offered exciting ideas for the Formula 1 season that we believe will enhance the experience for the listeners."

Five Live has exclusive radio commentary rights on the whole of the 2006 Grand Prix season, and the following two seasons.
For the first time UK-based listeners can access commentary online at bbc.co.uk/fivelive.
You can also listen on 909 & 693 AM, and via digital television and digital radio.
