Mitchell and Webb bring critically-acclaimed radio sketch show to BBC TWO

David Mitchell and Robert Webb, aka Mitchell and Webb (Peep Show), are bringing their critically-acclaimed BBC Radio 4 show, That Mitchell and Webb Sound, to BBC TWO, Creative Head of Comedy Talent and Comedy North, Kenton Allen announced today.

 

Written and performed by David Mitchell and Robert Webb, That Mitchell and Webb Look is a single 30 minute pilot and will be filmed both on location and in studio during January 2006.

 

It will feature a mix of character-driven material and satirical sketches, with a supporting cast including Olivia Colman and Paterson Joseph.

 

The pilot has been commissioned by Lucy Lumsden, Controller, Comedy Commissioning.

 

Kenton Allen said: "There's an excellent tradition of the best BBC Radio 4 comedies successfully transferring to BBC Television.

 

"We're very hopeful that the highly talented duo of David Mitchell and Robert Webb can continue this fine history of collaboration between Television and Radio."

 

That Mitchell and Webb Look will be produced by the original radio series producer Gareth Edwards and executive produced by Kenton Allen for BBC TWO.

 

Script Editor is John Morton (Broken News, People Like Us). Additional material is written by Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong (Peep Show), John Finnemore (Dead Ringers) and the pilot is directed by David Kerr.
