Natasha Kaplinsky to cover the Six

Natasha Kaplinsky is to begin co-presenting BBC ONE's Six O'Clock News from today (Monday 31 October 2005) to cover for Sophie Raworth who goes on maternity leave.

 

Natasha, who currently co-presents BBC ONE's Breakfast programme, will now team up with George Alagiah on the early evening bulletin.

 

Amanda Farnsworth, Editor of the Six, said: "Natasha brings considerable broadcast and journalistic experience to the team.

 

"She will be a very valuable addition to the Six, while Sophie is away on maternity leave."

 

Sophie Raworth, who is expecting her second child, will be returning to work after her maternity leave.
