Much Ado About Nothing
In David Nicholls' Much Ado About
Nothing, Sarah Parish plays Beatrice,
presenter of a popular early-evening
regional television news show, whose
ex-lover and arch enemy Benedick,
played by Damian Lewis, is hired as
her co-anchor.
Running parallel to
this tempestuous relationship is the
whirlwind romance between
weathergirl Hero, played by Billie
Piper, and sports presenter Claude.
Forced to share a studio sofa every
night, Beatrice and Benedick appear
to hate one another, but does their
apparent hostility mask passions of a
different kind?

Macbeth
Peter Moffat's Macbeth is transposed
to the enclosed and heated world of
a top restaurant kitchen, starring
James McAvoy as Joe Macbeth and
Keeley Hawes as Ella Macbeth.
Joe
Macbeth wants it all - power, acclaim,
success. Enticed by his ambitious but
troubled wife, Joe begins to discover
the seductive possibilities of power.
But to what lengths will they go to
achieve it? Knives, blood and
prophecies… it's a recipe for disaster
and soon enough greed takes over,
with tragic results.

hierarchy, debauchery and
ruthlessness, this is a vibrant and
mesmerising world.

The Taming of The Shrew
Shirley Henderson plays Kate
opposite Rufus Sewell's Petruchio in
Sally Wainwright's version of The
Taming of the Shrew.
Vitriolic,
aggressive and 'shrewish', Kate is an
opposition MP who is instructed to
find herself a husband to make her
more electable.
When the
overwhelmingly eccentric Petruchio
bursts on to the scene, and almost
immediately proposes, a very
surprising romance unfolds.
Twiggy
Lawson, Stephen Tompkinson, Jaime
Murray and David Mitchell also
star in this romantic comedy which
explores the complexities of
relationships against a backdrop
of glamorous London circles
and politics.

Peter Bowker sets A Midsummer
Night's Dream during a weekend in a
holiday park.
The romantic comedy
about four warring couples, a
donkey's head and a gaggle of
woodland fairies stars Imelda
Staunton, Johnny Vegas, Bill Paterson,
Lennie James, Sharon Small and Dean
Lennox Kelly.
The occasion is the
celebration of Hermia's engagement
to her childhood sweetheart.
However, chaos ensues when she
announces that she loves another.
Will true love conquer all and
normality return to this enchanted
world?
