After Katrina - a BBC News 24 Special is broadcast today on BBC ONE and BBC News 24 from 2.05 to 2.35pm.
Jon Sopel reports live from Gulfport, Mississippi in the wake of Hurricane Katrina with the latest on those affected and how the authorities are coping with the ongoing recovery effort.
He talks live to BBC correspondents at different locations within the flood regions and looks ahead to President George Bush's visit later this afternoon.
