A new entertainment quiz show for BBC Radio Scotland
based around Scots dialect and language is being recorded in Peebles
this week.
Your Word Against Mine
is hosted by Cameron Stout and features eight competing
teams from Shetland to Dumfries - with the emphasis very much on laughter.
One round of the quiz asks teams to decide which definition
of an obscure Scots word is true or false... plus many more fun-packed
rounds.
So far, we've had The North East v Shetland, Argyll
v Perth & Kinross, Dundee v Glasgow and Dumfries & Galloway v The
Borders.
Now it's down to the semi-finals, which consist of
The Borders v Dundee and Argyll v Shetland.
The Borders v Dundee semi-final will be recorded at
the Eastgate Arts Centre in Peebles on Thursday 18 August.
The Borders team is headed by local celebrity Ian Landles,
farmer Jim Hume and farmer's wife Margaret Davidson.
If you would like to attend the recordings, tickets
are available by emailing angus.coull@bbc.co.uk or calling on 01224
384808. Doors open at 6.30pm. Audience seated by 6.45pm. Recordings
start at 7.00pm sharp.
