BBC London 94.9FM today announced that Jono Coleman is returning to the station where he began his broadcasting career in the UK to present the Breakfast Show.
Jono said: "I am very excited about joining BBC London 94.9 to broadcast to my week day listeners again.
"I'll be back on the BBC station I started on when I came back to London from Sydney in the 1990s.
"BBC London 94.9 has always been one of my favourite radio stations and I'm honoured to be back at the BBC.
"I'm sure my listeners will be glad to have me back five days a week. I can't wait to get started."
David Robey, Managing Editor at BBC London 94.9FM, said: "Jono is one of the biggest and most successful breakfast show presenters in London.
"His record of Sony awards and audience ratings speak for themselves and I believe he's got exactly the right qualities for BBC London 94.9FM - a larger than life personality, intelligence and humour and with something to say to London.
"There could be no bigger shoes to fill than Danny Baker's, but I believe we've got the man in Jono."
