As the ban on hunting with dogs takes effect, hunting communities in England and Wales are facing their first weekend under the new legislation.

Regional news specials on Sunday on BBC ONE in England will take a look at the effects of the ban and reactions to it across each region.

The half-hour specials will offer an insight into the impact on hunting and rural communities across England.

With cameras in all corners of the regions, the BBC teams will be out and about throughout the weekend.

Guests in the studio will debate the issues and the programmes will also look at police reaction to the ban and their role during this historic weekend.

News Specials, BBC ONE (English Regions), 11.10pm, Sunday 20 February 2005
